Abstract: The present invention relates to a hybrid motor-assisted wheelchair system configured to improve mobility, comfort, and independence for physically challenged and elderly users. The wheelchair comprises a load-bearing frame, ergonomic seating assembly, front-wheel propulsion unit, hand-bike drive mechanism, electric motor, chain-sprocket transmission system, rechargeable battery module, and bidirectional control arrangement. The system enables both manual hand-powered propulsion and electrically assisted propulsion through a modular drive architecture. A weight-balanced frame configuration improves stability during movement while reducing user fatigue. The wheelchair further incorporates a rechargeable power source and optionally includes a solar-assisted charging unit for extending operational range. The invention is designed using low-cost and locally available materials to facilitate affordable manufacturing and deployment in rural and urban environments. The hybrid configuration enhances mobility, increases user independence, minimizes caregiver dependency, and provides an economical assistive transportation solution for individuals with limited lower-limb mobility
