Abstract: Fixed-wing Unmanned Aerial Vehicles need to go fast when they take off so they can fly. In a lot of situations such as when we are looking at something from above and checking on damage after a disaster, and when we are sensing things from a distance where we do not have a proper place for the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle to take off from. This makes it hard for us to use the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle. To make this easier, we use machines that can make the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle go fast enough so they can fly in a very short distance. This project is all about making a machine that can launch the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle into the air. The machine is made so it can be taken and put together, and it is not too heavy and can be used on different kinds of surfaces. To make the machine, we use a combination of metal and lighter metal because the metal makes the machine strong and the lighter metal makes the machine lighter. The total weight of this machine is 20 kg, so it is very easy to carry around. We made this machine in parts so it can be assembled, taken apart, and moved around very easily. In order for this machine to work on different types of ground, the support leg in front can be set at five different launch angles. This helps this machine work on uneven ground. The machine is using a 3 kg gym rope, which is a type of spring. The rope is used for storing energy and releasing it so that the UAV can go fast when it is launched from this machine. This is a cheap way for fixed-wing UAVs to be launched. It is also very easy to carry around. It works well in places where there are no runways.
