Abstract: A suspended-load backpack is a specialized device created to harness the mechanical energy generated when a backpack load oscillates vertically on the wearer's back during walking. The primary aim of the present study was to assess the impact of a suspended-load backpack system on specific temporal and kinetic parameters that characterize the gait. The objective of our project is to conceive and develop an enhanced FSMO (Flexible Suspended-Load Movement Optimization) system. Our project proposes the design of a backpack that allows the load to move in relation to the wearer during walking and running, thereby minimizing the vertical motion fluctuations of the load with respect to the ground. By enabling significant movements between the load and the wearer, especially as the hip (and hence the backpack body) undergoes substantial vertical displacements during walking, the overall excursion of the load is reduced. This movement can be harnessed, for instance, through a rack and pinion gear, to convert the mechanical motion into electrical or mechanical energy. Moreover, the suspended-load backpack incorporates a suspension system comprising a first portion directly connected to shoulder straps or through an interface, and a second portion linked to the backpack body, along with a compliant mechanism that allows the second portion and the backpack body to move vertically relative to the first portion in synchronization with the wearer's gait. Additionally, this innovative paper highlights the proposed design of an effective and efficient rubbish collecting system.it is also discovered that this system may be employed for a large range of the dryness fraction. This backpack is based on suspended load technology which reduces the vertical movement, and forces generated by the load on the carrier leading to energetic benefits. It dramatically reduces the impact forces during locomotion, even permitting running comfortably with heavy loads. A suspended-load backpack designed to permit the load to move relative to the wearer during walking and running so that the large movements between the load and the wearer of the backpack reduce the fluctuations of vertical motion of the load with respect to ground.
