The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.

Abstract: This project presents the design and development of an Automated Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) System capable of delivering continuous, consistent, and high-quality chest compressions during cardiac arrest emergencies. Manual CPR often suffers from inadequate depth, inconsistent rhythm, and rescuer fatigue, which reduce the chances of patient survival. The proposed system integrates a motor-driven compression mechanism, a real-time control unit, and a sensor-based feedback system to maintain the clinically recommended compression depth and rate. A rigid backplate, adjustable piston pad, and safety interlocks ensure proper positioning and patient protection throughout operation. Load sensors and position encoders monitor compression force and displacement, enabling closed-loop control to maintain accuracy independent of operator skill or fatigue. The system is powered by a portable battery pack, making it suitable for ambulances, emergency rooms, and public emergency response environments. By automating chest compressions, the device enhances CPR quality, reduces rescuer workload, and increases the likelihood of survival during cardiac arrest events. This invention contributes to improved emergency medical care by offering a reliable, efficient, and user- friendly mechanical CPR solution.
