Abstract: The present invention relates to a neural network-based system for adaptive air quality management in smart cities. The system integrates distributed environmental sensing, data preprocessing, neural network prediction, adaptive management, and continuous learning into a unified computational framework. Environmental data is collected from heterogeneous sources including IoT sensors, weather stations, traffic monitoring systems, industrial emission databases, and satellite platforms. The collected data undergoes preprocessing through normalization, synchronization, filtering, and feature extraction to generate structured environmental inputs. Neural network models including Deep Neural Networks (DNN), Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN), and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks predict air quality conditions, pollutant concentrations, air quality index values, pollution severity, and population exposure levels. Based on prediction results, the system generates adaptive recommendations including environmental alerts, traffic management guidance, industrial emission advisories, and public health notifications.
