Abstract: Road accidents are a leading source of injuries and fatalities globally, and the severity of casualties is frequently increased when emergency assistance is delayed. The loT-Based Accident Monitoring and Emergency Communication System presented to automatically identify traffic accidents and send out emergency alerts. A pressure sensor, accelerometer, GPS module, GSM module, and Android/loT controller are all integrated into the vehicle unit of the suggested system. The sensors keep an eye on the state of the car all the time and identify unusual occurrences including crashes, abrupt impacts, loud noises, and unexpected changes in direction or speed. When an accident is detected, the loT controller interprets the sensor data and sends it to a cloud server for analysis and storage, while the GPS module pinpoints the precise location of the car. At the same time, the cloud server uses Road Side Units (RSUs) to notify the closest ambulance, hospital, police station, and traffic management authorities, while the GSM module sends alert messages with accident details and position information to the victim's family. Realtime accident monitoring, quick emergency response and effective communication between vehicles, infrastructure, and rescue services are all made possible by the system. The suggested solution improves road safety and facilitates the growth of intelligent transportation systems and smart cities by cutting response times and enhancing accident management.
