Inventors include Harpreet Singh; Mahalakshmi Kodadi; Bhoomi Arora; Jitendra Chobdar; Chayanika Bordoloi; Rakesh Arya; Mrunali Patel; Salahuddin; Sonia Chauhan; Neha Sharma; Kavita Rana; and Sachin Chandraket Kale.
The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.
Abstract: The invention provides compounds of Formula I comprising a substituted 4-(piperazin-1-yl)quinoline linked through methylene or ethylene to a hydroxy- or alkoxy- substituted phenyl or pyridyl group, together with pharmaceutically acceptable salts and compositions thereof. A modular process includes piperazine substitution of a 4-haloquinoline, deprotection, distal N-functionalization, terminal-group deprotection, purification and optional salt formation (FIG. 1). The compounds are evaluated through an integrated sequence comprising selective monoamine oxidase-B inhibition, dopamine D2 receptor binding and functional modulation, attenuation of tumor necrosis factor-alpha-associated signaling, reduction of oxidative-stress markers, developability assessment and safety counterscreens (FIG. 2). The architecture provides a unified platform for selecting neurological candidates that balance dopaminergic turnover, receptor signaling, neuroinflammatory activation and oxidative injury.
