Abstract: Poverty mitigation among Scheduled Caste (SC) communities remains a critical socio-economic priority, requiring innovative, localized, and sustainable intervention strategies. This paper proposes a strategic framework for the economic empowerment and elevation of rural and semi-urban SC populations through the establishment of mechanized bamboo product manufacturing units tailored for the interior design market. Historically dependent on traditional, low-yield manual crafting, SC artisans often face market marginalization and minimal profit margins. By introducing modern, mechanized processing techniques, this initiative transforms raw bamboo into high-value, standardized interior design elements—such as wall paneling, flooring, acoustic tiles, and contemporary furniture. Mechanical intervention significantly reduces production time, ensures structural uniformity, and minimizes material waste, allowing local clusters to meet commercial quality standards and scale operations effectively.
