Abstract: The invention relates to a delta-sigma modulator (10a) for modulating an electric current (Idet) received on a charge transfer node (NT) for an integration period, wherein a phase generator (12a) is configured so as to obtain, each time the voltage (Vint) of the charge transfer node exceeds the constant threshold voltage (Vth), multiple cycles of at least two phases: ? a first phase of charging an elementary charge into an injection capacitor (Ci); and ? a second phase of transferring the elementary charge from the injection capacitor (Ci) to a storage capacitor (Cint); all of the elementary charges transferred into the storage capacitor (Cint) in each cycle forming a predetermined quantity of charges.
