Abstract: The present invention relates to a deep learning-powered wildlife monitoring and illegal activity detection system for automated monitoring of wildlife habitats and protected areas. The system comprises a data acquisition unit, edge processing unit, deep learning inference module, wildlife detection and classification module, illegal activity detection module, event analysis module, alert generation module, communication module, and data storage module. The data acquisition unit acquires image, video, audio, and/or environmental information from a monitored area. The deep learning inference module detects and classifies wildlife, persons, vehicles, and predefined objects. The illegal activity detection module identifies potential activities including poaching, illegal logging, animal trapping, unauthorized human entry, unauthorized vehicle entry, fire, and other suspicious activities. An event analysis module evaluates location, movement, time, duration, object classification, and predefined conservation rules to determine an event category and/or threat level. When a predefined threat condition is satisfied, the alert generation module generates a local and/or remote alert and the detected event is recorded in the data storage module. The system provides intelligent real-time wildlife monitoring, automated illegal activity detection, rapid alert generation, event recording, and improved support for wildlife conservation and habitat protection.
