Abstract: Flexible and wearable piezoelectric sensors have attracted immense attention due to their ability to be used in advanced technologies such as human machine interfacing (HMI) and artificial intelligence of things (AIOT). In this study antimony doped barium titanate (Ba0.3Sb0.7TiO3) has been used for the fabrication of piezoelectric nanogenerator (PENG) and the same has been used for sensing the finger movement and the generated signal is used for gesture recognition. The polymer to particle ratio has been optimized by testing the fabricated PENG devices in various weight ratio. The optimized device (20 wt%) has been tested for its ability to generate electrical output upon applying force and the device generates a maximum of 50 V and 1.5 µA. The generated output has been validated by charging commercial capacitors and powering up LEDs. Extending the device to be used for real-time application, the device is scaled to finger size and attached to hand glove to made as a wearable glove which can recognize the finger movement. Using convolution neural networks (CNN), the generated signal has been converted to readable texts by training the model through deep learning with different signals generated from finger movement. By this approach two words “SOS” and “HELLO” are displayed successfully, proving that the fabricated PENG device is promising to be used for smart wearable health care applications connecting with Artificial intelligence.
