Abstract: Abstract Disclosed is a decoupled bearing loading apparatus comprising a support chassis supporting a test shaft having a rotational axis, and a test bearing block mounted relative to the support chassis to receive a test bearing supported by the test shaft. A first loading assembly is mounted on the support chassis and comprises a first lead screw, a first guided carriage, first guide rails, and a first load cell arranged inline within a first force-transfer path extending through the first guided carriage. The first guided carriage applies axial force to the test bearing block along the rotational axis. A second loading assembly is mounted on the support chassis and comprises a second lead screw, a second guided carriage, second guide rails, and a second load cell arranged inline within a second force-transfer path extending through the second guided carriage.
