Abstract: ABSTRACT DECONVOLUTION OF CIRCULAR DICHROISM SPECTRA Approaches for deconvoluting a circular dichroism (CD) spectrum of a subject molecule are described. In an example, an experimental CD 5 spectrum (116) of the subject molecule is obtained at a given temperature and a plurality of calculated CD spectra (118) is generated based on a first reference CD spectrum corresponding to a biomolecule in an infinitely folded state and a second reference CD spectrum corresponding to a biomolecule in an infinitely unfolded state. Thereafter, a plurality of root 10 mean square deviation (RMSD) values (120) is calculated by comparing, at each wavelength across a range of wavelengths, an ellipticity value of a calculated CD spectrum with a corresponding ellipticity value of the experimental CD spectrum (116). Based RMSD values, a calculated CD spectrum (122) having a lowest RMSD value is selected, and relative 15 concentrations (124) of the folded state and the unfolded state are determined.
