Abstract: Abstract Disclosed is a decision-support system to mitigate choice paralysis. The system comprises a wearable augmented-reality headset and a server operatively coupled to the wearable augmented-reality headset. The headset comprises an input interface adapted to receive a user-provided decision statement and user interaction inputs, and a display interface adapted to present decision outputs within an augmented visual field. The server processes the user-provided decision statement to identify decision alternatives and decision criteria, generates a user preference profile based on criterion weights, assigns criterion scores to the alternatives, calculates weighted total scores, and generates a ranked arrangement of the alternatives. The server monitors user interaction inputs during presentation of the ranked arrangement to detect a repetitive decision interaction pattern indicative of choice paralysis, generates a guidance prompt in response, and causes the display interface to present the ranked arrangement and guidance prompt within the augmented visual field.
