MUMBAI, India, Aug. 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511000797 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology Delhi on January 03, 2025, for Dc-Dc Converter For Interfacing A Battery Bank With A Dc Microgrid.
Inventors include Chattopadhyay, Sumit Kumar; Wanjari, Nikilesh Vinayak; and Tak, Neha.
The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.
Abstract: A DC-DC converter (100) for interfacing a battery bank with a DC microgrid includes a plurality of submodules (SMs)(102), each SM (102) comprising a half-bridge circuit (102-1) with a switch and a battery, an inductor (104) connected in series with the SMs (102) for regulating current flow between the SMs (102) and the microgrid and a control circuit (106) configured to adjust the operation of each SM (102) using phase-shifted pulse-width modulation (PSPWM) to control charging and discharging and facilitate bidirectional power flow between the battery bank and the microgrid.
