MUMBAI, India, July 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641066619 A) filed by Nandha Engineering College on May 27, 2026, for Data Veil:preventing Data Breaches And Ensuring Confidentiality In Shared Enterprise Cloud Environments.
Inventors include S Revanth; and S Saradha.
The application for the patent was published on July 10, 2026, under issue no. 28/2026.
Abstract: The The present invention discloses a Data Obfuscation Model for securing sensitive data stored in shared enterprise cloud environments by concealing access patterns, disguising unauthorized requests, and ensuring confidential cross-organizational data sharing using advanced veiling and cryptographic techniques. The system integrates a Multi-Layered Veiling Mechanism combining Long-Term Veiling, Multi-Region Veiling, Time-Based Veiling, and Geolocation-Based Veiling to differentiate legitimate users from malicious entities and automated hots. These veiling layers evaluate every incoming access request against behavioral patterns, geographic boundaries, temporal restrictions, and real-time location data before determining whether to deliver original or concealed data to the requesting user. The invention employs Camouflage Data Masking using Cryptographic Splitting combined with ChaCha20- Poly1305 Authenticated Encryption to divide sensitive data into independently encrypted fragments, ensuring that intercepted pieces cannot be reconstructed without valid cryptographic keys and policy clearance. Secure Reconstruction Control ensures that only authorized users with valid credentials can rebuild original data from encrypted fragments, while unauthorized entities receive incomplete or irrelevant information. The platform accepts both administrator and data user interactions through a secure role-based Cloud User Interfuce developed using Python, Flask, MySQL, and Bootstrap. The Access Policy Configurator enables administrators to define and enforce fine-grained security rules based on user identity, role, time, geographic region, and behavioral patterns for consistent policy enforcement across all organizational units. The invention further supports real-time Monitoring, Auditing, and Alert generation for continuous oversight, rapid incident response, and compliance tracking across the enterprise cloud environment. Future enhancements may include machine learning-based behavioral analytics, blockchain-based data integrity verification, and integration with external enterprise resource planning platforms. The proposed invention provides an intelligent, scalable, and privacy-preserving cloud data protection framework for securing sensitive information and enabling seamless cross-organizational data sharing in modern enterprise cloud environments.
