Abstract: According to one aspect of the technology described in the present application, a method by which a data processing device process data is provided, the method comprising the steps of: (a) receiving, from a content playback device, first metadata pre-designated for first content data that is signal-processed and played back by the content playback device; (b) determining whether the content playback device and a user device are included in the same network group; (c) generating, on the basis of the first metadata, second metadata including at least information about an operation to be performed by the user device in association with the first content data, if it is determined in step (b) that the content playback device and the user device are included in the same network group; and (d) transmitting the second metadata to the user device, wherein the first metadata includes at least identification information about the operation information.
