Abstract: The rapid growth of urbanization, rising fuel costs, and environmental concerns have intensified the need for sustainable transportation. Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs), integrating internal combustion engines and electric propulsion systems, offer a viable solution; however, their efficiency relies heavily on effective energy management. Traditional rule-based strategies lack adaptability to dynamic driving conditions. This paper presents an IoT-based Energy Management System (EMS) for HEVs using machine learning techniques to enhance adaptability and efficiency. The proposed framework leverages real-time data from vehicle subsystems and external infrastructure for intelligent energy distribution. A Revised Random Variable-based Innovative American Zebra Ontimization Alaorithrn (RRVI-AZOA) is emnloved to optimize multiple objectives, including fuel consumption, vehicle performance, and state of charge (SOC). Furthermore, an Adaptive Sparse Auto encoder with Multilevel Attention Network (ASA-MANet) is developed for feature extraction and prediction, with parameters fine-tuned via RRVI-AZOA. Experimental evaluations under varying driving conditions demonstrate that the proposed MTbased EMS significantly improves energy efficiency and performance compared to conventional methods, paving the way for smarter and more sustainable hybrid mobility systems
