Abstract: ABSTRACT DATA AVAILABILITY INDICATION FOR DATA COLLECTION Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a data availability indication for data collection. In an aspect, a terminal device receives, from a network device, a threshold number which indicates an amount of buffered data in terms of a size of a message for reporting the buffered data to trigger a data availability indication. The terminal device determines whether the amount of the buffered data is more than the threshold number times the size of the message for reporting the buffered data. Based on determining that the amount of the buffered data is more than the threshold number times the size of the message for reporting the buffered data or less than the threshold when low power, the terminal device transmits the data availability indication to the network device.
