MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511013203 A) filed by Birla Institute Of Technology And Science, Pilani on February 15, 2025, for Cyclometalated Dinuclear Iridium(iii) Complex Compounds That Bind And Detect Human Serum Albumin.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a group of cyclometalated dinuclear iridium(III) based complexes or compounds having a structure selected from those represented by Formula IA or IB. These compounds selectively bind human serum albumin (HSA) and said binding can be detected by a luminescence-based technique. The invention also teaches a simple method of preparing said compounds.
