Abstract: A Cybersecurity apparatus to protect networked computing environments from unauthorized access and cyber threats, the apparatus comprising an adaptive deception engine, a virtual network service generator and an intelligent threat analysis module. The adaptive deception engine dynamically creates deceptive network resources, such as simulated credentials, virtual communication services and decoy computing environments, based on activity on the network. The virtual network service generator simulates various network services to lure and separate bad people from good computing resources. The intelligent threat analysis module analyses the behavioural data collected during deceptive interactions to detect threats, classify them and create adaptive response strategies. A secure forensic event management mechanism with tamper resistant storage ensures attack events are securely recorded. The device offers proactive threat detection, behavioural intelligence, adaptive deception and secure forensic evidence collection to strengthen network resilience, minimising attacker persistence, and bolstering cybersecurity for enterprise, industrial and Internet of Things environments.
