Abstract: The present invention discloses an adaptive cybersecurity system for protecting 5G and next-generation wireless networks against evolving cyber threats. The system comprises a distributed telemetry collection layer, intelligent threat detection engine, dynamic security-state generation module, threat propagation prediction engine, cybersecurity digital twin, mitigation decision engine, and adaptive security orchestrator. The system collects telemetry from radio access networks, network slices, edge computing nodes, virtualized network functions, core network components, and connected devices to identify anomalous behavior and dynamically determine security states. Potential threat propagation paths are predicted using network topology, communication relationships, and service dependencies. Candidate mitigation actions are simulated through the cybersecurity digital twin and an appropriate response is selected based on threat containment and service continuity. The orchestrator implements and verifies adaptive actions including isolation, traffic rerouting, access modification, credential rotation, and virtualized function migration.
