MUMBAI, India, June 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641076140 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology on June 19, 2026, for Cyber Deception System With Post-Quantum Signed Complaint Registry.
Inventors include Ramya. G; and Aditi Gandhi.
The application for the patent was published on June 26, 2026, under issue no. 26/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT CYBER DECEPTION SYSTEM WITH POST-QUANTUM SIGNED COMPLAINT REGISTRY A cyber deception system (100) comprises a production metadata extraction module (110) extracting sanitized metadata from a production environment (10), the sanitized metadata comprising database schemas, system versioning data, non-privileged user structures, or architectural patterns. A one-way synchronization pipeline (120) transfers the sanitized metadata unidirectionally. An illusion honeypot (130) receives the sanitized metadata. A blending layer (140) combines the sanitized metadata with traceable synthetic decoy data comprising honeytokens. A deception gateway (150) classifies incoming network traffic and redirects malicious traffic to the illusion honeypot (130) while routing legitimate traffic to the production environment (10). A behavioral emulation layer (160) generates deceptive latency patterns. A honeywall (170) converts attacker activity into structured attack records. A complaint registry (180) transforms the attack records into complaint records linked via a tamper-evident hash chain. A post- quantum signature module (190) signs complaint records using post-quantum cryptography with forward-secure key rotation. (Fig. 1)
