The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.

Abstract: The Customized Pediatric Dental Mouth Prop with Safety Feedback is an intelligent dental assistance device developed to improve safety, comfort, and procedural efficiency during pediatric dental treatments. Conventional mouth props are passive in nature and lack real-time monitoring, which may lead to excessive jaw pressure, discomfort, or involuntary movements in children. This proposed system addresses these limitations by integrating adjustable mechanical support -with embedded sensing and feedback mechanisms. The device incorporates pressure sensors to continuously monitor jaw bite force and motion sensors to detect involuntary jaw movements during dental procedures. Sensor data is processed in real time by an embedded microcontroller that compares measured values against predefined safety thresholds. When abnormal pressure or unsafe movement is detected, the system immediately provides feedback to the dentist through visual indicators, audible alerts, or vibration signals, enabling timely corrective action. This active monitoring significantly reduces the risk of jaw strain, tissue injury, and patient distress. The mouth prop is ergonomically designed with adjustable dimensions to accommodate different pediatric age groups and jaw sizes. It is constructed using soft, biocompatible, and child-safe materials to ensure comfort and minimize oral tissue damage. Low-voltage operation and enclosed electronic components enhance overall patient safety and device reliability. The design also supports easy cleaning and sterilization for repeated clinical use. By combining intelligent sensing, real-time safety feedback, and ergonomic customization, the Customized Pediatric Dental Mouth Prop enhances treatment precision, reduces dentist workload, and improves the overall dental experience for pediatric patients. This system represents a meaningful advancement in smart dental instrumentation and pediatric oral healthcare.a
