Abstract: The present invention relates to a customized memory-based automated positioning bed system (100) for neuromuscular patients. The system (100) comprises a motorized adjustable bed frame (1), a patient support platform (2), a motorized actuation assembly (3), a programmable control unit (4), a memory-based positioning module (5), an automated time-interval repositioning module (6), a dual- mode operation module (7), a pressure-relief and limb-protection assembly (8), a safety control assembly (9) and a user interface (10). The memory-based positioning module (5) stores predefined patient-specific positioning profiles, and the automated time-interval repositioning module (6) automatically changes patient posture at predefined intervals. The dual-mode operation module (7) provides sleep mode and sitting mode. The pressure-relief and limb-protection assembly (8) provides zoned cushioning for pressure-sensitive regions. The system improves patient comfort, reduces caregiver dependency and helps prevent pressure sores in neuromuscular patients..
