The software application is configured to allow a user to input and transmit customizable text messages. The microcontroller-based hardware device (102) comprises visual indicators and is configured to display received text messages. The system enables users to silently communicate noise and disturbance level requirements to people outside a room, particularly useful for maintaining a quiet environment for sleeping babies or nursing mothers.
