MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621108488 A) filed by Dr. K G Guptha; and Er. Rashmi Guptha on September 09, 2026, for Curing Free Cementitious Plaster System For Controlled Hydration With Quickcon Srt-Ga+ And Method Thereof.

Inventors include Dr. K G Guptha; and Er. Rashmi Guptha.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: A moisture-conserving and controlled-hydration cement plaster composition (100) is disclosed. The composition (100) comprises a cementitious mortar (102) including cement, sand and water, configured to form a thin cement plaster layer upon application to a masonry substrate. A nano-silica-based admixture (104) include nanoparticles is incorporated into the cementitious mortar (102) and is configured to modify moisture behaviour of the mortar. The nano-silica-based admixture (104) simultaneously controls migration of mixing water toward the masonry substrate and evaporation of mixing water from an exposed surface of the plaster layer, thereby conserving moisture during an early hydration period. The conserved moisture maintains water availability for cement hydration and reduces premature drying, shrinkage and formation of fine interconnected or cobweb-like cracking. The composition (100) thereby enables a curing-free or substantially curing-free plastering operation with reduced early moisture loss and improved resistance to early-age cracking.
