Abstract: A curcumin-infused gelatin sponge (100) is disclosed. The gelatin sponge (100) comprising: a porous gelatin matrix (102) formed from a gelatin solution (104) having a concentration between 5-10% weight/volume (w/v); and curcumin (106) incorporated at 0.1-5% weight/weight (w/w) of the dry sponge. The curcumin (106) is incorporated by surface coating, immersion, blending, or a combination thereof, such that the gelatin sponge (100) is bioabsorbable and adapted to be placed in an oral surgical site. The gelatin sponge (100) is strategically packaged to ensure sterility, ease of handling, and immediate clinical usability. Thus, the sponge (100) minimizes contamination risk and enables seamless integration into surgical workflows. Claims: 10, Figures: 3 Figure 1 is selected.
