Abstract: ABSTRACT Disclosed are a cryptographic communication apparatus, system, and method for secure communication using post-quantum cryptography. The apparatus (100), coupled between a first communication device (102) and a second communication device (104), comprises first and second communication interfaces (106, 108), a post-quantum cryptographic core (112), a quantum random number generator (118), a secure key storage (120), and an encryption accelerator (122). The post- quantum cryptographic core authenticates a peer cryptographic communication apparatus (110), establishes shared secret material using a post-quantum key- establishment protocol, and derives one or more symmetric session keys. The quantum random number generator supplies entropy information for authentication, key establishment, key derivation, and cryptographic processing. The secure key storage stores and isolates the symmetric session keys. The encryption accelerator retrieves a symmetric session key and encrypts communication data to generate encrypted communication data. A control unit (116) controls exchange of authentication and key- establishment information and transmission of encrypted communication data. FIG. 1
