The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: A cryogenic extraction system (100) for removing a femoral stem implant (102) is disclosed. The cryogenic extraction system (100) includes an adaptor (108) configured to engage with the femoral stem implant (102) having a plurality of distribution perforations (104). The adaptor (108) includes external threads (110) configured to mate with internal threads of an insertion aperture (106) of the femoral stem implant (102); and a central passage (112) structured to direct a cryogenic agent. The cryogenic extraction system (100) further includes a delivery tube (114) connected to the central passage (112) of the adaptor (108) and configured to connect to a cryogenic agent source. The central passage (112) and the delivery tube (114) are structured to distribute the cryogenic agent through the plurality of distribution perforations (104) to create thermal contraction of the femoral stem implant (102) for facilitating removal of the femoral stem implant (102).
