Abstract: The present invention generally relates to a cross-layer Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) Internet of Things (IoT) development framework (100) is disclosed. The framework (100) comprises a design configuration layer (121), a decision engine (125), a system specification layer (122), a toolchain integration layer (123), and a deployment and runtime monitoring layer (124). The decision engine (125) comprises an RTOS selection engine (125a), a hardware selection engine (125b), a scheduling recommendation engine (125c), and a deployment optimization engine (125d) configured to analyze application constraints and generate deployment recommendations. The toolchain integration layer (123) generates executable application code, while the deployment and runtime monitoring layer (124) deploys and monitors application execution on a target hardware environment (150). The framework enables automated RTOS selection, hardware-aware deployment, scheduling optimization, and runtime monitoring across heterogeneous IoT environments, thereby improving development efficiency, deployment reliability, scalability, and interoperability.
