MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541020818 A) filed by That We Mr. Vijai Kumar S. , Managing Director, Ms. S. Leelavthi on March 07, 2025, for Cross Fields Uv Printing On The Acrylic Sheet.
Inventor includes That We Mr. Vijai Kumar S. , Managing Director, Ms. S. Leelavthi.
The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT UV Printing:- UV printing is a type of digital printing that makes use of ultra-violet light to dry or cure the ink as it gets printed on the surface. As the printer goes on to distribute the ink on the surface of a material, the Ultraviolet lights follow close behind, “drying” or “curing” the ink instantly. This technology offers direct printing capabilities onto a virtually limitless range of 3D media, allowing easy and quick product customization. This is one of the reasons why Ultra-violet printing finds its application in packaging solutions firms. The UV ink is printed directly onto the Acrylic sheet and it get exposed to UV light, it instantly turns to solid- state from the liquid. Principle of UV printing:- UV printing is a type of digital printing that makes use of ultra-violet light to dry or cure the ink as it gets printed on the surface. As the printer goes on to distribute the ink on the surface of a material, the Ultraviolet lights follow close behind, “drying” or “curing” the ink instantly. Uses of UV printer:- UV printers can be used on a huge variety of materials/substrates. Purpose of UV printing:- This technology gives you control over the print quality, colour density and finish. The ink is instantly cured during printing, meaning you can produce more, faster, with no drying times and ensure a high-quality, durable finish. LED lamps are long-lasting, ozone-free, safe, energy-efficient and cost-effective. The Smart Way to Print: UV printing is one of the most flexible and exciting direct-to- object print processes ever created, and its uses are almost limitless. The benefits of UV printing includes: • fast production with instant ink curing • the capability to print directly on a wide range of materials • And the ability to print 3D textures, effects and gloss highlights. Using UV printing technology, you can print custom designs, images, text and even textures directly onto a vast range of materials or products. Range of UV:- The UV region covers the wavelength range 100-400 nm and is divided into three bands: UVA (315-400 nm) UVB (280-315 nm). Life of UV print: UV printing has an outdoor durability of at least 2 years without fading. The print will last up to 5 years without fading if it's laminated. However, the usage, material, and environmental factors play a massive role in determining the life of a print. Materials are used in UV printing: UV-curing inks can be used to print on a wide variety of materials, including plastics, metals, glass, wood, and ceramics and, of course, paper. In fact, the range of materials that can be UV printed is constantly expanding, as new UV-curable inks are developed and tested. Advantages of UV Printing:- The advantages of UV printing include: fast speed, high quality, wide application range, eco-friendly, strong durability, better color vibrancy. • Fast printing speed: UV printing machine utilizes ultraviolet curing technology to cure the ink instantly so as to realize fast printing. Fast drying also reduces the phenomenon of ink smudging and offsetting. This feature ensures that your prints come out clean and professional every time. • High printing quality: UV printing dries the UV ink at a fast speed, to some degree avoiding some printing problems like an ink smudging, offsetting, and able to output qualified prints. In addition to that, the UV-cured ink is water-proof, high-temperature resistant, and anti-scratching. That means the prints will not fade easily and be more durable. Also for this reason, UV printing is very suitable for outdoor advertising. • Wide range of applications: As UV printing products and applications listed, UV Printing opens up endless possibilities for printing on a wide variety of materials. Substrates such as wooden boards, glass, and crystal, PVC, acrylic, plastic, stone, and leather are commonly used in the UV printing industry. • Eco-friendly: When it comes to preserving our environment, UV printing stands out as an eco-friendly option. Unlike some other inkjet ink, UV ink does not emit harmful volatile organic compounds (VOCs) into the atmosphere. This means you can enjoy high-quality prints without compromising on sustainability. • Strong durability: Thanks to the UV coating, patterns printed by a UV printer are highly resistant to fading, stretching, and water damage. As a result, they have the ability to last for a long time. • Better color vibrancy: UV printers produce excellent print quality. With UV printing, you can achieve more vibrant colors as the ink doesn’t have time to soak into the printing medium. This technology allows for easy and precise photorealistic printing.
