MUMBAI, India, June 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641074447 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology, Chennai on June 16, 2026, for Coupled Inductors-Based High Gain Dc-Dc Converter System And Method Thereof.

Inventors include Akshralilly K; Gopika V; Darshini R; and M. Prabhakar.

The application for the patent was published on June 26, 2026, under issue no. 26/2026.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a high gain dc-dc converter system (100) and a method (300). The system 100 may include an input source Vin (102), a single active switching device (140), a first coupled inductor pair including a primary inductor LPy1 (106) and a secondary inductor LPy2 (108), a second coupled inductor pair including auxiliary inductors LSy1, LSy2 (110, 112), a plurality of rectifying diodes (114-1, 114-2, 114-3, 114-4, 114-5), a plurality of capacitors (116-1, 116-2, 116-3, 116-4), a control circuitry (118) and an output stage (120). The single active switching device (140) is configured to operate with a duty cycle (D), including a metal oxide semiconductor field effect transistor (MOSFET) S1 (104) configured to operate according to a pulse width modulation (PWM) duty cycle. The control circuitry (118) is configured to generate PWM switching signals for controlling the single active switching device (140).
