MUMBAI, India, June 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202631062468 A) filed by Om Krishna Swarupa; and Susanta Kumar Das on May 17, 2026, for Cost Effective Computer Synchronised Optoelectronic System For Linear And Nonlinear Optical Studies.
Inventors include Om Krishna Swarupa; and Susanta Kumar Das.
The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.
Abstract: A cost-effective computer synchronised optoelectronic system is disclosed for detecting a fringe pattern in a Michelson Interferometer and for beam profiling in a Knife-edge experiment. The system comprises a photodiode configured to generate an analog signal in response to incident light, a microcontroller configured to digitize the analog signal, and a LabVIEW based virtual instrument (VI) for real-time monitoring, processing, visualising and logging the digitized signals. The system further comprises a synchronization module configured to coordinate operation between the signal acquisition VI and a motorized linear stage control VI, enabling automated and temporally correlated measurements. The disclosed system offers a compact and reprogrammable platform capable of integration with an external motorized stage. The system can also be useful for nonlinear optical characterization of sample using Z-scan analysis.
