Abstract: The present invention relates to a cost aware and failure aware intelligent CI/CD framework for cloud deployments to help make better decisions about deployments of software in a cloud environment. The framework comprises a pre-deployment decision engine that evaluates build metrics, historical pipeline outcomes, and estimated cloud resource usage to provide a way to evaluate deployment risk and operations cost prior to executing the actual deployment process. Then when an optimal deployment action is determined using this analysis, the framework will initiate controlled executions, delayed deployments, or rollback strategies, depending on what has been determined to be the optimal course of action. The system shows that intelligent framework significantly reduces both the rate of failed deployments and cloud resource cost while maintaining fairly similar levels of deployment latency. These findings provide evidence that the integration of cost and reliability awareness into CI/CD workflows significantly enhances the efficiency and reliability of cloud-based software delivery systems. By incorporating both cost awareness and failure awareness into CI/CD workflows, the invention enhances the reliability, efficiency, scalability, and resource utilization of cloud-native software delivery systems, thereby providing an intelligent decision-support mechanism for automated cloud deployment environments.
