Abstract: TITLE: CORNERING SAFETY SYSTEM FOR TWO-WHEELER AUTOMOTIVE VEHICLE A cornering safety system has been proposed in the present invention for two-wheeler vehicles that monitors and manages riding dynamics to enhance rider safety as shown in figure-1. The system integrates an inertial measurement unit (IMU) comprising a gyroscope and accelerometer with an odometer sensor, all connected to a microcontroller or Raspberry Pi via an inter-integrated circuit (I²C) interface. The IMU captures angular-velocity data along roll, pitch, and yaw axes, while the odometer measures wheel rotation to calculate vehicle speed and distance. The microcontroller fuses these rotational and linear motion inputs to compute lean angle, trajectory, and stability parameters in real time. A complementary or Kalman filter ensures drift-corrected lean-angle estimation. When lean angle or speed exceeds predefined safety thresholds, the alert assembly provides visual and audible warnings. The system also displays live riding metrics and logs data for training and analysis, offering an affordable and effective solution for cornering safety in two- wheeler vehicles.
