Abstract: A Coriolis flowmeter (5) and related method is provided. A pickoff zero (POzero) is measured during no-flow conditions through flowmeter flow conduits. Flow material is flowed through the flow conduits, and a driver connected to the flow conduits oscillates the flow conduits in a first bending mode. Signals from pick-off sensors connected to the flow conduits are received. A PO ratio (Por) is measured. A percent limit (POlimit) is determined, wherein the percent limit (POlimit) comprises an allowable deviation between the pickoff zero (POzero) and the PO ratio (Por). The meter electronics is configured to set a flag state if the percent difference between the pickoff ratio (Por) and the pickoff zero (POzero) is greater than the percent limit (POlimit).
