MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611070141 A) filed by Noida International University on June 04, 2026, for Copula Repair Analysis System For Three-Subsystem K-Out-Of-Ng Systems.

Inventors include Dr. Vijay Vir Singh; Dr. Sharad Kumar Agarwal; and Rahul Kumar Singh.

The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.

Abstract: The invention relates to reliability engineering and repair modelling for complex repairable systems. A three-subsystem system operating under a k-out-of-n:G working policy is analysed with switch failure and human/operator failure factors. The invention applies a Gumbel–Hougaard family copula repair model to represent multi- repair behaviour and compares the results with a general repair distribution. The system evaluates reliability, availability, performance, service-cost effect, and profit. As failure rates increase, the model represents corresponding reduction in reliability and availability, and identifies sensitive failure rates including switch-related failures. The invention is useful for engineering systems, production systems, process plants, power systems, and other installations requiring repair strategy evaluation, availability improvement, and cost-sensitive maintenance planning.
