MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621095566 A) filed by Omkar Pandurang Sawant on August 06, 2026, for Cookware Article Having Micro-Patterned Interior Surface And Anodised Copper Exterior, And Method Of Manufacture Thereof..

Inventor includes Omkar Pandurang Sawant.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: A cookware article comprises a body formed from an aluminium alloy plate defining an interior cooking surface and an exterior surface. The exterior surface bears a hard-anodised layer having a porous oxide matrix within which copper ions are electrolytically infused and mechanically retained, imparting a durable, integral copper- toned finish. The interior cooking surface, free of any hard-anodised layer, comprises raised lands and recesses formed directly in the aluminium alloy in a repeating pattern, configured to promote lateral heat conduction and define air pockets for enhanced food release. The interior cooking surface further bears a blasted finish formed after patterning, imparting controlled surface roughness and work-hardening the aluminium. A non-stick coating applied over the interior surface is mechanically protected by the raised lands. A corresponding method of manufacture is also disclosed, comprising cutting, forming, anodising, ion infusion, patterning, blasting, coating, cleaning, and packaging steps. Ref: Fig. 1
