MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611060475 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology Delhi on May 12, 2026, for Controller For Operating A Resistive Crossbar Memory Array.

Inventor includes Sivasubramani, Santhosh.

The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.

Abstract: A controller (102) for operating a resistive crossbar memory array (106) includes a communication interface (302) receiving configuration data for a crossbar operation, and a register unit (304) storing the configuration data comprising at least one of an operation mode, target row and column addresses for cell selection, timing parameters, and voltage parameters. A state machine (308) detects a start condition and sequences through operational states to execute the crossbar operation. An address generation unit (310) outputs row and column address signals based on the target addresses. A pulse generation unit (312) generates a pulse having a duration determined by the timing parameters. A voltage control unit (314) outputs a digital DAC code based on the voltage parameters. A feedback interface receives a ready signal and measurement data from external circuitry associated with the resistive crossbar memory array (106). The controller (102) is a standalone unit interfacing externally with the resistive crossbar memory array (106).
