The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.
Abstract: A controlled-release inhalation system (100) for delivering a medicament to a respiratory tract of a patient is disclosed. The system (100) comprises a reservoir (102) configured to store a medicament formulation, a flow sensing module (104) configured to generate respiratory flow data representative of a respiratory cycle, an aerosol generation module (106) configured to generate aerosolized medicament, and a processing unit (108a) configured to analyse respiratory flow data to identify an inspiratory phase and determine an optimal medicament delivery window. The processing unit (108a) actuates the aerosol generation module (106) during the optimal medicament delivery window and terminates aerosol generation outside the optimal delivery window. The system (100) further improves pulmonary deposition efficiency, reduces medicament wastage, and enables adaptive respiratory synchronized aerosol delivery.
