MUMBAI, India, June 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411092572 A) filed by Maruti Suzuki India Limited on November 27, 2024, for Control Unit For Air Flushing System Of Vehicle And Vehicle Having The Control Unit.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a control unit (100) for an air flushing system of a vehicle and a vehicle having the same. The control unit (100) includes at least one processor (105) configured to detect change in an operational state of an engine (110) from switched-on state to switched-off state, restrict a supply of fuel to the engine (110), based on detection of change in the operational state of the engine (110), and operate a driving motor unit (120) to drive the engine (110) for a predefined number of cycles. During the intake stroke, clean air is drawn in the engine (110), and during the exhaust stroke, clean air is flushed from the engine (110) towards an exhaust system of the vehicle. Due to the control unit (100), the air flushing system of the vehicle flushes condensate formed in the exhaust system as soon as the engine is turned off.
