Abstract: ABSTRACT CONTINUOUS USER AUTHENTICATION USING BEHAVIORAL FUZZY COMMITMENT AND ROLLING MESSAGE AUTHENTICATION CODE CHAIN A method of continuously authenticating a user of a user device (100) during a session with an authentication server (200) includes passively collecting, by a Behavioral Signal Collection Module (110), behavioral signals from ordinary user interaction, and deriving, by a Feature Extraction Engine (120), a behavioral feature representation per time interval. A Fuzzy Commitment Generator (130) commits an enrollment behavioral feature representation into an error-tolerant cryptographic commitment (510) retained on-device and opens the commitment (510) per interval to release a behavioral secret when a deviation lies within a tolerance (532). A rolling MAC engine (140) derives each session seed from a preceding session seed and the behavioral secret using a one-way function (214) and computes a message authentication code using a key derived from a non-exportable key (152) in a tamper-resistant hardware component (150). The behavioral signals and the behavioral secret do not leave the user device (100). (Fig. 1)
