Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention discloses a Continuous Behavioural Authentication System for Secure Digital Banking that provides uninterrupted user identity verification throughout an active digital banking session by continuously analyzing behavioural, contextual, and transactional characteristics. Unlike conventional authentication systems that verify user identity only during login, the proposed system continuously monitors behavioural biometrics including keystroke dynamics, typing rhythm, touchscreen gestures, mouse movements, navigation patterns, transaction behaviour, and session activities to determine the authenticity of the user. The system further incorporates a Contextual Intelligence Module for evaluating device identity, network characteristics, geographic location, operating environment, and access conditions, an Adaptive Trust Evaluation Engine for generating a dynamic trust score, and a Real-Time Anomaly Detection Module for identifying suspicious behavioural deviations indicative of unauthorized access, account takeover, or session hijacking. Based on the continuously updated trust score, a Security Policy Decision Engine dynamically determines whether to maintain the session, request additional authentication, restrict transactions, or terminate the session. The invention also includes a Secure Audit Repository for maintaining comprehensive authentication records and a Continuous Learning Module for refining behavioural profiles and authentication models over time. The proposed system is applicable to internet banking, mobile banking, digital payment platforms, electronic wallets, and cloud-based financial seivices, providing enhanced cybersecurity, fraud prevention, regulatory compliance, and seamless user authentication while preserving customer convenience and operational efficiency.
