MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611079328 A) filed by Credenta Technologies Private Limited on June 27, 2026, for Context-Aware Physiological Risk Assessment Platform For Mobile Biometric Authentication.
Inventors include Kumar, Ravit; and Mann, Sakshi.
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: A context-aware physiological risk assessment platform on a mobile computing device acquires a photoplethysmography signal from a fingertip via the rear-facing camera and torch, recovers an RR-interval series under control of a five-component composite signal quality index, and extracts a cardiovascular feature vector. A personal circadian baseline engine maintains per-feature Bayesian running statistics in constant memory by a Welford online algorithm together with a personal cosinor model, and a circadian blend engine computes circadian-corrected deviation z-scores by progressively blending a population prior toward the personal baseline. A cumulative signal-burden tracker and a sustained baseline-deviation indicator provide multi-timescale compensation and an adaptive abstain floor. A multi-state autonomic nervous system hidden Markov model estimates an autonomic state posterior from the quality-gated, circadian-corrected signal, and a contextual disambiguator fuses the posterior with transaction-context metadata by Bayesian updating to produce a machine-generated authentication control signal discriminating an elevated-risk authentication state from voluntary attempts. A manipulation-resistant breath-hold detector operative at fourteen-second scans, and a hardware-backed elliptic-curve attestation subsystem emitting a self-verified packet, complete the platform, which outputs one of an APPROVE, ABSTAIN or ESCALATE decision.
