Inventors include Gollapally Shivaraj; Bolisetty Subbarayudu; Shaik Taufeeq Ahmad; Chiguru Varun; and Amritha P. P.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: Abstract An assistive communication device is disclosed. The device comprises a spectacles frame, a forward camera assembly arranged to observe a bounded near- field interaction region, a proximity-trigger assembly configured to detect entry of a user hand into the bounded near-field interaction region, an edge-processing module, a local contextual-state memory, and a audio output arrangement. The edge-processing module initiates semantic interpretation upon detection of hand entry, derives gesture-transition content from image data, and resolves ambiguity in incomplete gesture sequences using rolling short-horizon interaction state retained in the local contextual-state memory. The device generates assistive communication output through the audio output arrangement without cloud offloading, thereby improving interpretation accuracy, reducing latency, and preserving privacy.
