Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of electrical low-voltage devices, and in particular to a contact system and an electrical switching device comprising same. The contact system comprises a main contact structure and at least one movable contact structure; the main contact structure comprises a main contact; the main contact comprises a main contact portion; the movable contact structure comprises a movable contact; the movable contact comprises a movable contact portion; when the main contact is located at a closed position, the main contact portion and the movable contact portion are connected to enable the main contact and the movable contact to be closed; the movable contact structure further comprises an elastic piece working in conjunction with the movable contact; and in the process of the main contact being disconnected from the movable contact, when the main contact portion drives the movable contact portion to move from an initial position to a disengaged position, the elastic piece stores energy such that the main contact continues to operate, and the elastic piece releases energy to drive the movable contact portion to reset to the initial position. The contact system and the electrical switching device have high breaking capacity.
