Abstract: A constrained liner assembly (400) includes a liner body (100) having an inner cavity (102) configured to receive a femoral head (200). The liner body (100) features a plurality of cuts (104) formed circumferentially on an open-end surface (106), where each cut defines an outer section and an inner section. The outer section is designed to deflect outwardly relative to the inner section during the insertion of the femoral head (200), providing flexibility for assembly. The assembly further includes a ring (300) designed to engage with the liner body (100). Upon engagement, the ring (300) compresses the outer section toward the inner section, reducing the spacing between the cuts (104). This action restores the liner body (100) to a constrained state, securely locking the femoral head (200) within the inner cavity (102), ensuring stability and preventing dislocation under dynamic joint loads.
