Abstract: Proposed is a connector apparatus (10) comprising a plug (11) and a socket (12), the socket having a switching device (19) which is arranged in a socket housing (15) and which has a rotatably mounted rotary element (16) in which a receiving opening (18) is formed, the plug (11) being insertable into said receiving opening into an unlocking position such that the rotary element (16) is rotatable by means of the plug (11) in the circumferential direction (U) relative to the socket housing (15). The switching device (19) has a switching element (20), which is configured to switch the at least one socket contact (14') when said switching element is actuated by the actuating element (21), and has an actuating element (21), which is rotationally coupled to the rotary element (16) and is configured to rotate ahead of the rotary element (16), and actuate the switching element (20), when said actuating element reaches a snap-over angle (ct). The connector apparatus serves to switch the socket (12), wherein the switching phase between the conductive and non-conductive states is kept as short as possible.
