MUMBAI, India, June 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641070659 A) filed by B. S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute Of Science And Technology on June 05, 2026, for Conformal Cooling System For Reducing Surface Defects In Injection Moulded Products.

Inventors include Y. Lekashree; Sriram Srinivasan; Muhammad Fauz. N; Dr. S. Shamshath Begum; and Dr. M. S. Murshitha Shajahan.

The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.

Abstract: The present subject matter is a conformal cooling system for an injection moulding machine. The system comprises conformal cooling channels (101) arranged to follow the three-dimensional geometry of a mould cavity; temperature and pressure sensors (106, 107) positioned at a plurality of locations in the mould; an infrared thermal imaging unit (114) configured to capture a thermal profile of a moulded component during moulding; an edge processor (109) executing a machine-learning model trained to identify defect signatures; and a control module (104) configured to automatically adjust coolant flow, injection pressure, and cooling time based on detected thermal variations.
